Where I Come From
A Life Shaped by Faith, Family & Service
I grew up with a deep faith that has always been the anchor of my life. As a wife, mother, and community servant, I poured myself into caring for others — family, friends, and anyone who needed a steady hand. I built a career, raised a family, and found purpose in showing up for people in their hardest moments.
Michigan has always been home — the place where my roots run deep, my community lives, and where I return each spring. My winters in Arizona brought a slower pace, sunshine, and the space to breathe. Between both places, I found a rhythm that nourished my soul.
The Season That Changed Everything
When Everything Shifted at Once
In the span of two years, my life was reshaped by a series of losses that would have broken anyone without a strong foundation. Divorce. Caregiving for my aging father. His passing. And then — a Stage 3 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. Each blow came before I had fully recovered from the last. I remember sitting with the weight of it all and wondering how I would take the next step.

Where Healing Became Possible
My path led me to Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico — a world-renowned integrative cancer treatment center where faith and medicine meet. What I found there was not just treatment. It was a philosophy of whole-person healing: body, mind, and spirit. The doctors, the staff, the community of patients — all of it became part of my healing.
Through God's grace and the integrative care I received at Oasis of Hope, I am cancer free today. That is not a small sentence. It is the sentence that changed everything about how I see my life and my purpose.
